2025 Speed & Agility Wrap-Up: Faster, Stronger, and More Confident Little Legends

As we close out 2025, one thing is crystal clear: every single Little Legend got better.

This season of Speed & Agility training was all about consistent effort, intentional coaching, and measurable progress—and the results showed up in a big way on the Little Legends Obstacle Course here in Lakeway, TX.

Every Athlete Improved 🚀

From the first session to the last, 100% of our athletes improved their obstacle course times. That’s not by accident. It’s the result of:

  • Repetition done the right way

  • Focus on fundamentals

  • A fun, competitive environment that keeps kids engaged

Some athletes shaved off seconds. Others made steady gains week after week. But the most important part? Everyone moved forward.

What Got Better?

⚡ Speed

Short-area burst, acceleration, and top-end speed all improved through sprint mechanics, resisted runs, and reaction-based drills.

🦶 Footwork

Agility ladders, cone work, and change-of-direction drills helped athletes move more efficiently—less wasted motion, quicker feet, and better balance.

🔄 Change of Direction

The obstacle course exposed real growth in deceleration, body control, and the ability to stop and re-accelerate quickly.

🧠 Confidence

When kids see themselves getting faster, it changes how they move. Confidence showed up in how they attacked drills, raced teammates, and pushed through tough reps.

The Obstacle Course Doesn’t Lie

The Little Legends Obstacle Course became our measuring stick. It combined:

  • Acceleration

  • Lateral movement

  • Quick decision-making

  • Balance and coordination

Each timed run told a story. And by the end of the season, the story was the same across the board: growth.

More Than Just Football

While many of our athletes play flag or tackle football, speed and agility training benefits every sport. We saw improvements that translate directly to:

  • Soccer

  • Basketball

  • Baseball

  • Lacrosse

  • Track

Speed is a skill—and skills can be trained.

Looking Ahead to 2026 🏆

We’re incredibly proud of the work these athletes put in during 2025. This group showed what happens when effort meets structure and encouragement.

If 2025 was about building the foundation, 2026 is about taking it to the next level.

To every athlete, parent, and supporter of Little Legends Football—thank you for trusting us with your child’s development.

The stopwatch doesn’t lie.

The work shows up.

And these Little Legends are just getting started. 💪🏈
